Developer DAO is a developer owned and governed community.

Here you'll find the the links and resources you need to get started. Developer DAO is a oublic good and most of the value we create is free and open to everyone.

If you're not a Member yet, this guide will still be very useful to you and can show you why you should, and how you can, become one.

About Developer DAO​

Developer DAO is a community. A community of builders who share the same mission, values & goals and collectively Govern shared resources in a Treasury to support other Members contributing to realising that mission.

Developer DAO was founded by Nader Dabit on 3rd September 2021 during a YouTube Live Stream. The DAO was an experiment, created by forking the Loot Project and changing the metadata from in-game loot items to traits a Developer DAO might hold.

What does Developer DAO do?​

Developer DAO's mission is to accelerate the education and impact of a new wave of web3 builders.

We've broken this mission down into 4 pillars: Vibe, Learn, Build & Govern:

  1. 😎 Vibe: Twitter Spaces, IRL events, Community Hangouts, Town Halls.

  2. 🧠 Learn: Articles, Workshops, Academy Courses, Peer-to-peer Learning.

  3. 🏗️ Build: Hackathons, Agency Work, Fellowship programs, Jobs.

  4. 👩🏽‍⚖️ Govern: Propose, debate and vote on ideas and budget allocations.

How to get involved​

The vast majority of the value and opportunity Developer DAO creates is provided in the open and free as public goods. If you're not a member yet, don't sweat it, we'll get you there.

First steps​

The most important first step is to connect with us:

  2. Sign-up for workshops and event notifications.
  3. Subscribe to our newsletter.
  4. Join our Job Board.

We use these channels to notify our community of everything we do. If you're not a member yet, you can still enjoy our free educational content on the blog and via YouTube, our IRL events, Newsletter and starter kit repo's on Github.

How to join discord​

Discord access is currently gated to Members who hold over 400 CODE tokens or anyone who holds the original D4R NFT. If you don't hold either of these just don't free, check out How to Become a Member.
